I am so excited to be in my 8th year in Gretna and at ACMS! The library is a central part of our building and I love working with teachers and students throughout the year.

I have 3 children of my own: Charlie, a freshman; Clara, a 7th grader; and Collin, a 2nd grader. We live outside of Yutan on a farm with ducks, horses, cats, a dog, and a bunny. I love to read (that seems like an obvious claim) and enjoy spending time with my family and pets.

I am a former high school English teacher and have been working in the library for the past 10 years. I did my undergrad work at UNL, and my Master's and later my Library Endorsements at UNO.

Brian Schlautman

Library Paraprofessional

Brian has been working in the library for the past three and a half years. His wife, Lisa, is a Speech Pathologist in our district and they have two boys who graduated from Gretna High School.

Brian enjoys traveling with his family (road trips!) and also loves to cheer on the Huskers. Most weekends you can find him at Memorial Stadium.

He is an avid reader and is great at helping students find their next read from the ACMS library collection.
